And Now for a Little Penny

Penelope is already 5 months old! She is such a joy!

Penny is no pushover. She certainly lets us know when she's not satisfied with the current situation--which usually involves her not having enough food, because she loves to eat! And she has the most adorable fleshy rolls to prove it. She also prefers to be held, but only by her mama; though she will allow daddy to hold her as long as he doesn't get any wild ideas such as leaving the room where mama is.

 Penny doesn't deal out smiles to just anyone. She is pretty choosy when it comes to smiling, but when she does fork one out, it's beautiful.

The thing about Penny is, if you didn't know better, you'd think there was a baby raptor somewhere in the room. But it's not a raptor. It's Penny. She makes the best dinosaur noises. Her most impressive, longest-sustained shrieks and caws usually happen around 6 am, 6:30 if we're lucky.

Penny is strong for a baby. She wouldn't beat me in an arm wrestle, but she might come close.
 If we had a contest of who could roll from back to tummy the fastest, though, she would surely win. And she can swipe a sandwich out of your hand so fast you won't know what just happened.
