Viva La Vida

Roo is a great date planner! Last weekend he recreated a European adventure for us. We started out with a stroll through downtown Salt Lake. We stopped at an old used bookstore and "Edinburgh Castle", quite possibly the only Scottish specialty store in the state. We then at ate the Atlantic Cafe, a little hole in the wall run by Croatians who make the best gyro I've had in a long long time.
From there we did a little shopping at the British specialty store--we got some great English candy and then went next door to Elizabeth's Tea Shop for some Cadbury hot chocolate and Rhubarb Crumble with hot custard.

Then we ended the night with a "Travels in Europe" DVD marathon. He's a bit of a geek, but the scenery is worth it!

On Saturday we went for a lovely walk up Millcreek Canyon with Lando in tow. So even though we may not meet our goal of getting out of the country every year, we at least came close last weekend. Thanks Roo!

Sounds like a fun date. We should plan a trip together, out of the country, sometime.

Sounds like a super foreign-ish date, I especially like the chocolate parts, but the movie looked like a straight thriller. Next time you head out of the state consider our state, it will feel VERY foreign and much more authentic then that show!
